Introducing the "Sweet Bow-Ties" Rating System – Action Required by June 13

Dear franchisees,
 
At Mr Simms Sweet Shop, we’re always looking for ways to celebrate excellence and maintain the high standards that make our brand so special. That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Sweet Bow-Ties Rating System to help us recognize and reward outstanding shops across our franchise network.
How It Works
The Sweet Bow-Ties rating (1 to 5, 5 = EXCELLENT, 1 = BELOW STANDARD) will evaluate three key areas:
Shop Exterior – Cleanliness, visual appeal, and adherence to brand standards.
Shop Interior – Design & layout, product presentation, and overall atmosphere.
Staff – Friendliness, product knowledge, speed & efficiency, and more.
Rating Guide
To help you understand the scoring, here’s what each rating represents:
⭐ 1 Sweet Bow-Tie (Needs Improvement)
Exterior: Poor upkeep, signage issues, or clutter.
Interior: Disorganized displays, out of date products, or cleanliness concerns.
Staff: Inconsistent service, lack of engagement, or untidy uniforms.
⭐⭐⭐ 3 Sweet Bow-Ties (Good – Meeting Expectations)
Exterior: Clean and presentable, with minor room for improvement.
Interior: Well-stocked, tidy, and inviting but may lack standout features.
Staff: Polite and helpful, though not exceptional.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Sweet Bow-Ties (Exceptional – Best in Class)
Exterior: Immaculate, eye-catching, and perfectly on-brand.
Interior: Beautifully arranged, innovative displays, and a delightful customer experience.
Staff: Warm, knowledgeable, and proactive — going above and beyond.
 
Your Action Required
We’re asking all franchisees to:
1. Self-rate your shop using the online form here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScuM1L1_wVn0bKjoyN34_xv4BwFX77aLXazNg4J4_67IL041g/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=102731059863632972971
2. Return the completed form by June 13, 2025.
For example the merchandising of the window should have grouping with spaces between each product group and not just filled to capacity like these window examples below.
 
Good Grouping using space between groups allows for the customer eye to travel from one group to the other taking in all that is on offer
Bad Grouping - If the window is over packed the customer can become overwhelmed

This will help us establish a baseline and identify areas for celebration or improvement. In the future, we may expand this system to include customer and mystery shopper feedback.
